Sunday's season finale against the Packers, Green Bay kick returner Pat Lee stood a few yards into the end zone and inexplicably let the ball bounce first before picking it up.
That was his first mistake. The ball ended up taking a bad bounce and went off Lee's leg, rolling back past the goal line.
Then Lee made his second mistake, reached out to grab the ball and brought it back into the end zone before taking a knee.
Of course, the Lions immediately realized what had happened and made their case to the referees. After a brief meeting, the officials ruled it a safety, giving Detroit two more points and the ball back.
