Beyoncé Knowles and hip-hop mogul Jay-Z welcomed their new baby girl into the world, and mother and daughter are doing just fine.
Blue Ivy Carter was born on Saturday at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, where the couple reportedly rented the entire fourth floor for $1.3 million.
TMZ notes that the birth caused a bit of a stir for a Boston-area event-planning company also named Blue Ivy, which was flooded with phone calls, texts, and Facebook messages. Will there be a name ownership dispute? Quick, somebody call the artist currently known as Prince.
