It was a very borderline shot but Zab could hear the count and if he wanted to appeal the low blow he knew he would need to get to his feet. It appeared that Zab simply knew he was getting beat and chose his own way out.
Khan held a 61 to 20 advantage in punches landed and a 21% to 17% advantage in percentage of punches landed.

AMY WINEHOUSE DEAD AT 27, POLICE CLASSIFY IT AS "UNEXPLAINED"
Singer Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her home in Camden, north London, at the age of 27. Officers were called by the ambulance service to an address in NW1 just after 4pm today. On arrival, officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene," a police statement said. Her death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries are continuing into the circumstances, it added. Watch this short life story!

Japan came from behind twice to win the women's World Cup for the first time, beating the United States 3-1 on penalties.
The final finished 2-2 after extra-time with the United States on top for the majority of the match.
USA went ahead after 68 minutes thanks to striker Alex Morgan - but Japan's Aya Miyama scored the equaliser after a defensive mix-up by the Americans 10 minutes from normal time.
It was 1-1 going into extra-time and after 13 minutes the United States looked to have wrapped up the game after Abby Wambach put her side back ahead again scoring her 4th goal of the tournament.
But Japan weren't finished and captain Homare Sawa, who won the tournament's golden boot, kept her side in the game with a header in the 117th minute.
The Japanese had defender Azusa Iwashimizu sent off in the 121st minute for a foul on US striker Alex Morgan.
In the dramatic shoot-out, Japan goalkeeper Ayumi Kaihori saved two penalties before defender Saki Kumagai hit the winning spot-kick.
This was Japan's first win over the Americans at the 26th time of trying and was heartbreak for the Stars and Stripes as they missed out on a third World Cup title despite dominating Japan for large periods of the game.

In another chapter between the game's greatest rivals, the final went into over-time after the Diamonds clawed their way back to tie up the game 46-46 at the end of regular time.
They went goal for goal in extra time, which is seven minutes each way, and were locked at 52-52 when they changed ends.
Silver Ferns shooter Maria Tutaia had the chance to win the match for her side but missed her goal and Bassett made no mistake down the other end.
With Australia trailing for much of the game, Bassett slotted two goals in the final minute to get her side back level and then missed another in the dying seconds which would have given the Diamonds victory.
Australia skipper Natalie von Bertouch said the win was sweet revenge after last year's heart break when they lost the Commonwealth Games gold medal to the Silver Ferns in Delhi in double overtime.
"There couldn't be anything better," von Bertouch said.
"We just kept fighting back and they kept pulling away and we kept fighting again.
"It just came down to who was in front when the whistle blew."
The win gave the defending champions their 10th world title, after winning the 2007 crown in Auckland over the Kiwis.
Trailing 26-20 at halftime the introduction of Bassett proved the difference.
The 192cm Bassett replaced Catherine Cox and her extra height gave the Australians a better target against the physical defence of Silver Ferns skipper Casey Williams.
They went on a unchallenged run of five goals to get within a point before New Zealand coach Ruth Aitken called time out.
Aitken said she was shattered for her players, some in tears as they collected their silver medals.
"It was an amazing game, I just really feel for my players," Aitken said.
New Zealand led at every point until the 39th minute, when Australia briefly stole a 30-29 lead, before the Kiwis again hit the front and were up 36-35 at three-quarter time.
Veteran shooter Irene van Dyk was pivotal in the first half for the Kiwis.
Van Dyk, 39, shot 100 per cent in the opening half, with 17 goals from 17 attempts to help set up the six-goal lead at the main break.

Argentine folk singer and songwriter Facundo Cabral was shot and killed Saturday, July 9, 2011 in Guatemala CityFacundo Cabral, one of Latin America's most beloved folk singers, was shot and killed on Saturday in Guatemala City, reports MSNBC.
The Argentinian musician had been touring the country and was enroute to Guatemala's main airport when men with rifles attacked the vehicle, shooting him at least eight times, and wounding his concert promoter Henry Farina. Cabral died at the scene.
According to firefighters at the scene two black vehicles pulled up and opened fire on the singer's white Range Rover and the beige Chevrolet Tahoe following him, reports MSNBC.
The motive is still unclear but police are investigating whether the shooting was an attempted robbery or a targeted attack.
Ronaldo Robles, a spokesman for Guatemalan President Alvaro Colom, said the leader was "dismayed by this cowardly act," reports BBC.
Cabral's representative, David Llanos, told reporters: "I don't know how and why this happened, because Facundo is well-known around the world and I don't see why anyone would be interested in killing him."
The 74-year-old singer gained notoriety in the early 1970s as a protest singer in Argentina. In 1978 he lost both his wife and infant daughter in a plane crash. His most famous song, "No soy de aqui ni alla" — "I'm Not From Here or There — was recorded about 700 times in 27 languages, reports MSNBC.

A powerful 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck off Japan's northeastern coast on Sunday. Tsunami advisories were issued following the Japan earthquake, Tokyo Breaking News reported. The alert was later lifted.
According to Reuters, Fukushima nuclear plant workers evacuated to higher ground following the earthquake, with no immediate reports of injuries or damage. Tokyo Electric Power said that there did not appear to be any further damage at the nuclear plant.
In March, Japan's earthquake and tsunami devastated the country, and wreaked havoc at the Fukushima nuclear plant.
The Associated Press reports:
The quake hit at 9:57 local time (0057 GMT), and a warning of a tsunami was issued for most of the northeastern coastline. The epicenter of the quake was in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Japan's main island, Honshu, at a depth of about 6 miles (10 kilometers).
Japanese officials predicted the quake could generate tsunami of up to 20 inches (50 centimeters), but the initial waves were only about 4 inches (10 centimeters).

The actress, who will appear next in ABC's reboot of "Charlie's Angels," was sitting in a luxury box at the game with Jeter's friends and family, according to People magazine.

It’s been a year since tween sensation Greyson Chance stole Ellen DeGeneres’ heart with his cover of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” and now his debut album is ready for release.
Hold On ‘Til the Night officially hits shelves on August 2, but Chance will be offering fans the opportunity to pre-order a specially packaged version of the CD, including a bonus DVD, during an appearance on QVC this Sunday, July 10. The singer will appear at 10 a.m. ET to perform select songs off the new album, as well.

Yao Ming Retires: Rockets Center Decides To Retire From NBA
Yao Ming has decided to retire after eight seasons in the NBA, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
The Houston Rockets star center reportedly informed the league office within the past two days.
Yao, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2002 NBA Draft, has only played in five games since the 2008-09 season due to injuries.
The 7-foot-6 center became a restricted free agent on July 1.
Yao, 30, suffered a stress fracture to his left ankle back in December. The injury required season-ending surgery.
He averaged 19 points and 9.2 rebounds throughout his career.

Rangers Fan Dies After Falling Out Of Stands During Game (Video)
ARLINGTON, Texas -- A man attending a Texas Rangers game with his young son died after falling out of the stands and about 20 feet to the ground while trying to catch a baseball tossed his way Thursday night, the Rangers and Arlington fire officials said. Arlington Fire Department officials said in a statement that another fan nearby tried unsuccessfully to grab the man to keep him from falling. They said the victim's son did not fall.
"We had a very tragic accident tonight and one of our fans lost their life reaching over the rail trying to get a ball," team president Nolan Ryan said. "As an organization, and as our team members and our staff, we're very heavy-hearted about this, and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family."
A very somber Ryan didn't get into details about the accident or release the man's name.
Ronnie Hargis was sitting in the stands at Rangers Ballpark next to the victim. The men were talking to each other before the accident.
"He went straight down. I tried to grab him but I couldn't," Hargis said. "I tried to slow him down a little bit."
TV replays showed the man falling head-first and landing behind a 14-foot-high wall supporting a video board for replays and scores. The area where the man fell is out of sight from the field.
It is the second fatal fall at a MLB ballpark this season. In May, a 27-year-old man died after he fell about 20 feet and struck his head on concrete during the seventh inning of a Colorado Rockies game. Witnesses told police that the man had been trying to slide down a staircase railing at Coors Field and lost his balance during a game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The accident in Texas occurred in the second inning after Oakland's Conor Jackson hit a foul ball that ricocheted into left field. Josh Hamilton, the reigning AL MVP, retrieved the ball and tossed it into the stands. Replays on Oakland's television broadcast show the man reaching for the ball and apparently catching it before tumbling.
"We spoke to the ballclub, they understood what has happened and we spoke to Josh," Ryan said. "I think as any of us would be, Josh is very distraught over this, as the entire team is."
The Rangers clubhouse was closed to reporters after the game.
Replays on Oakland's television broadcast show the man reaching for the ball and apparently catching it before falling.
The visitor's bullpen at the stadium is in left-center field. Athletics reliever Brad Ziegler was in tears after the game when he found out the man had died.
"They had him on a stretcher. He said, 'Please check on my son. My son was up there by himself.' The people who carried him out reassured him. 'Sir, we'll get your son, we'll make sure he's OK,'" Ziegler said. "He had his arms swinging. He talked and was conscious. We assumed he was okay. But when you find out he's not, it's just tough."
There was an audible gasp in the stands when the man tumbled over the rail, eerily similar to an accident last July when a man fell about 30 feet from the second-deck of seats down the right-field line while trying to catch a foul ball.
Before the Rangers batted in the second, manager Ron Washington spoke briefly with one of the umpires. Michael Young, who was leading off the inning, could be seen talking to A's catcher Kurt Suzuki and pointing toward the area where the previous accident happened.
Former president George W. Bush was sitting in the front row with Ryan near the Rangers when the accident happened. Ryan left moments later while Bush remained in the seats.
Ryan said the former president, who used to be the team's managing general partner and is a frequent visitor to Rangers games, was aware of what was happening.
Hargis' daughter said the victim's head was bleeding badly.
Safawna Dunn, who was sitting behind the victim, said he appeared to have injuries to both arms and was conscious when taken away on a stretcher.
"Josh Hamilton tried to throw (the ball) up to the guy because they were yelling for the ball," Dunn said.
Last July at Rangers Ballpark, a fan fell 30 feet from the second deck of seats at Rangers Ballpark while trying to catch a foul ball. That fan, Tyler Morris, suffered a fractured skull and sprained ankle.
After Morris was hurt last year, he called the incident a "100 percent, total accident that could have happened to anybody." He said he didn't blame the Rangers or the ballpark.

Lawyers are making their closing arguments as the Casey Anthony trial comes to a close.
Anthony, who is accused of murdering her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, broke down during the prosecution's closing statements this morning. Lawyers have argued that mother murdered her young daughter in order to pursue a relationship with her club-promoter boyfriend.

Prosecutor Jeff Ashton said Anthony wanted a relationship with her boyfriend, to go out with her friends and to live the carefree life she had before Caylee's birth."Something needed to be sacrificed, that something was either the life she wanted or the life thrust upon her. She chose to sacrifice her child," Ashton said during his 90-minute argument.

Pam Plesea, Cindy Anthony's Ex Sister in Law Speaks To Nancy Grace
Pam Plesea is the ex-wife of Rick Plesea. Rick Plesea is the brother of Cynthia Anthony. Cynthia Anthony, as we all know, is the mother of Casey Anthony, the 25 year old who is charged with first degree felony murder of her daughter, Caylee.
Though now estranged from her ex-husband and ex-sister-in-law, Pam Plesea appeared via phone on Nancy Grace on July 2, 2011.

Pam spoke with Grace after learning an internet interview was being published on July 2, 2011 without her consent.
Plesea said she had spoken to someone whom she believed was a representative of the Florida State Attorney's Office. Unbeknownst to Pam, the person was NOT a representative of Florida's Assistant State Attorney's office. The information Pam shared regarding her limited knowledge of any events surrounding the murder of Caylee Marie Anthony and including the Anthony family was in fact being used to compile an "Exclusive" interview of Ms. Plesea.
Pam Plesea stated she was initially contacted like everyone else in the family for photographs of Casey and the family. She did not want to insert herself into this horror that her former family members were living. Pam elaborated, that Rick disowned their son, and she has been talking in confidence with Shirley Plesea for several years. Pam added that Shirley finally told her what happened the night Caylee went missing on June 15, 2008. It's not what Cindy and George have sworn under oath to in court either, said Pam Plesea.
Plesea recalls a birthday party held for her son's fourth birthday. At that time, Casey was just days or weeks old, however Cindy was in attendance at Pam's home for the party. At some point during the activities, Cindy approached Pam and held the then infant Casey up to Pam's face and said, 'What a shame you will never know how it feels to have your own child.'
Pam said Cindy's remarks were disheartening and hurtful. Pam explained she and ex-husband Rick adopted their son. "Our son is just as loved and treated as if I had given birth to him." .
Cindy then said, 'Oh, I meant that you never will have a girl, and it's the best thing for a mother. She's my life now.'
Now, twenty-five years later, I see she is willing to possibly perjure herself for her daughter, stated Plesea. Pam describes the Anthony family she formerly knew "as a typical all-American family".
Shirley Plesea has been talking to ex-daughter-in-law, Pam Plesea since this nightmare began. Plesea says Shirley told her that on June 15, 2008, Father's Day, she, Cindy and Caylee went to visit Alex Plesea, Shirley's husband and Cindy's father, at the nursing home, which is very close to where Shirley lives. Afterwards, Shirley, Cindy, and Caylee returned to Shirley's home for lunch. It was then when Shirley showed Cindy that Casey had forged a $354 check on Cindy's father's nursing home account."
Regarding a conversation with Shirley Plesea, Pam says, "She later told me Cindy found out Casey had done this. She claimed she used the money to buy a new work phone for Universal Studios. Shirley told Cindy that she was going to call the police and she said Cindy told her, if she did, she'd never speak to her again." Shirley feels guilty to this day that she did not call the police. She had warned Cindy, if something was not done to stop Casey, she'd end up doing something bad. Shirley lives with the grief of if she had only called the police, Caylee might still be alive today, said Pam. Pam states she told Shirley that none of the family could have ever known this would happen and attempts to encourage Shirley that she in no way contributed to Casey's actions.
Shirley also told Pam that Cindy and George are not being totally honest about the night of June 15, 2008. Lee was there, Cindy confronted Casey and they ended up in an altercation and Cindy choked Casey. Lee pulled them apart, and Cindy called Shirley to tell her that Casey would never steal again and that she had choked her.
According to Pam, Shirley has also revealed Cindy called Shirley the following morning, June 16, 2008, and told her Casey had taken Caylee and the car before anyone woke up and was gone. Thus, contradicting George's testimony that he saw Casey and Caylee leaving the home at 12:50pm on June 16.
Searches on the Anthony home computer, performed at times after George left for work, also impeach George's testimony.
Cindy Anthony's testimony did not come as a shock when she testified under oath that it was she who performed the searches on the Anthony family computer. The searches included neck breaking, chloroform, how to make chloroform and other searches that the prosecution claimed could only have been made by Casey Anthony.
Casey Anthony was the only person, according to the work records of George Anthony and Cynthia Anthony, that could have made the searches. A stunned prosecution was livid when Cindy then claimed on the witness stand she was home early on those days and remembered making the searches herself.
During their rebuttal on July 1, the prosecution called upon John Camperlengo the Chief Compliance Officer and Cindy Anthony's nursing supervisor Deborah Polisano, both with Gentiva Health Services, Cindy's former employer. Both witnesses testified that Cindy was at work. The Chief Compliance Officer went as far as proving it by the use of Anthony's employer assigned password. The nursing supervisor, Polisano, showed documentation to the court that Anthony was entering patient information using the company computer at the Gentiva office in Winter Park, FL.-- while the searches were being done at her home on a desktop computer.
Anthony's attorney Mark Lippman stated on The Today Show on July 2, that his client Cindy Anthony maintains she performed the chloroform searches.
Prosecutors would not comment if they plan on filing perjury charges against Cynthia Anthony relating to her testimony.

Selena Gomez To Use Sex Appeal To Sell Her New Album

Instead of going the way of the many pop stars before her and use her sexuality to sell her albums, Disney star Selena Gomez says that’s not the way for her. She even admits to feeling awkward in a bikini!
Her new album, When The Sun Goes Down, has already hit shelves, but don’t look to Selena to sex it up for album sales. In a recent interview with Time, she said, “Of course I’m becoming a woman, and I want to explore that side of myself but at the same time, I have to be true to those people that have been with me.”
She revealed, “I still get awkward if I’m in a bikini so I don’t think I’ll be doing anything too drastic anytime soon.”

You know, sometimes we forget these are just teenage kids who are just as fickle as my girlfriends at that age who caused me to hate and distrust all women. Granted, I didn’t have enough money to purchase soldiers of fortune and my own island to flee extradition, I’m sure this’ll turn out fine. Because if there’s one thing I know about teenagers, it’s that they make careful, well-thought out decisions with non-permanent consequences. And they love Pogs. Can’t get enough of ‘em.

Watch Glenn Beck Says Goodbye to Fox News (Video)
Glenn Beck said goodbye to his audience and looked back on his tumultuous tenure at Fox News on Thursday, the last episode of the 'Glenn Beck Show.' Of course, there was the requisite career retrospective full of clips from his time on the network, starting with his first show January 19, 2009. Media Matters had released their own highlight reel of Beck's most outrageous statements earlier in the day, but Beck's focused on the good times.
"This is only the third time that I've actually done live TV, so buckle up 'cuz it could get very, very bumpy," he said on that first broadcast. The mostly goofy clips that followed confirmed that, as Beck struggled to find the correct camera to address and pieces of his backdrop fell behind him, interrupting a rant about out of control government.
The last clip was the one that seemed most out of context -- Beck in his tailored suit and striped shirt, also wearing bright blue surgical gloves, laughing and saying into the camera, "This is the dumbest damn show on air." Now it will be the dumbest damn show on the Internet, which is where Beck is moving his enterprise (along with radio and publishing). A strange, brief chapter in broadcast history has ended.
