: After the big comeback in Game 2 Thursday night, the Dallas Mavericks will try to keep momentum on their side as they host the Miami Heat for Game 3 Sunday night in Dallas.

The Dallas Mavericks rallied from a 15-point deficit in the fourth-quarter to win against Miami Heat 95-93 in Game 2 of the NBA Finals at AmericanAirlines Arena. The series is now tied at one game apiece.

Dirk Nowitzki played a major role for Dallas in their triumph against Miami. He led the Mavericks with 24 points, including the winning layup with three seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. Nowitzki, playing with a torn tendon in his left middle finger, also hit a key 3-pointer in the final minute to put the Mavs ahead 93-90 before Mario Chalmers equalized it with another shot from beyond the arc in a well executed play after a Miami timeout.

There’s no question that Nowitzki played a very good game in Game 2 but the Mavs had four players in double-figures, including Shawn Marion (20 pts.), Jason Terry (16 pts.) and Tyson Chandler (13 pts.). On the other hand, Dwyane Wade led all scorers with 36 points, his best game of the postseason, while LeBron James had 20 points and eight rebounds.

Can Miami bounce back from their devastating home defeat and give the Mavs a taste of their own medicine in Game 3? Or will Dallas continue their momentum to get the series lead on Sunday?
