Michigan State Cheerleader Injured

Michigan State's basketball game against Florida State on Wednesday night when a Spartans cheerleader fell head first during the middle of a routine.

Taylor Young, 20, was raised into the air and appeared to fall back hitting her head hard onto the court. The arena fell silent for several minutes as medical personnel attended to Young.

Young was said to have smiled and given a thumbs up as she was taken off the court on a stretcher. She was transported to a Lansing hospital and, fortunately, Michigan State athletic director Mark Hollis later reported that she is okay.
